Hello Erik!
Thanks for your feedback and comment, I was hoping that someone will point out this to me. I have another post about my personal experience, and there I specifically address this problem.
I do agree with all the points raised by you and that’s my biggest concern against the cruise as well.
On the other hand, for me, the cruise was a complete mindset change. For someone who does not have the opportunity to meet hundreds of growth-oriented people in a short period of time, this is a fantastic opportunity to start, see what's out there and just come alive. And we need people to come alive, to raise their voices and do something good.
The purpose of NC7 was to challenge my thinking, experience what’s possible and meet incredible people. Without the cruise, we would not talk about the problem now, I would still have the same mindset as before and the time for me to make an impact would have taken longer.
The NCX is going to be about sharing, absorbing and having deeper connections with more people.
Would this be possible on land as well? Probably yes, and I am going to explore what are some alternatives in the near future. Until then this is the only thing I can talk about and hope that more people will come alive.
Will I do this forever? Absolutely not. The NCX is going to be my last one until it will not get greener in some ways. Until then, the least I can do is to offset my carbon emission for a good cause and be super annoying when it comes to plastic.
